@edtechmathteach
Ironic that you have to pay for private school to get more social/play based curriculum in early elementary. Seems like many districts doubled down on test based objectives and curriculum as a way to catch up after covide (alienating many kids and teachers)
How old were you when your realized Phish fans were by and large wealthy and privileged ? In hindsight the data was everywhere… but it took me a while. This is also self reflection
Holy shit. Listened to The Case podcast about this and the cover up and corruption was so frigan absurd. Justice hopefully is served here

Boston's SWAT Team has arrested former Stoughton Police Officer Matthew Farwell for allegedly killing Sandra Birchmore. We took him into custody without incident. Details to follow at a 1:45 p.m. news conference with
@DMAnews1
at the federal courthouse in Boston.
I think I muted young Ryan for reasons. That’s something you can do on this app…it’s a great feature.
If you don’t like the content that surrounds him you should totally do that too… because being mean to a young kid on social media ain’t it.
Guys… I’m having second thoughts on the festival. Vegas was really expensive and the concept of my families two largest spends of the year being for me to see Phish feels off. Plus re-entry is killing me. May call it and hit more of the fall tour.

@deadandcompany
Can you speak a little bit about why your twitter account blocked so many people. Understanding some posts were not constructive, it seemed many paying Customers who just wanted answers were blocked. Tough look
@ericrennerbrown
Get out of here with this… no need for politics. Music should be a space for unity and not disenfranchising to 50% of the people in the country.
@ThrillHoGaming
Idk.. I went to shows in 95 because I liked the music and I go now becuase I like the music. I cultivate my own experience as much as possible and that helps keep the cringe at bay.
My best friend growing up OD’d yesterday. We had lost touch in our adult years, but inseparable growing up as we lived 3 houses apart. He had been been clean for years. Sad. Just sharing to tell someone
Well… I have an appointment with a counselor to talk about mental health today. Had a bit of an episode at work yesterday.
Guess I’ve avoided this my whole life.
@wook_chuck
PSA: you do you…
I’ll be walking a mile back to hotel, taking a shower… maybe blackjack if feeling it…and sleeping in a room with AC, waking up 5 times to
Tinkle because old.
I did my campsite raging at the Clifford Ball, Lemonwheel, Went, Oswego, Cypress, and Coventry.
I hope the last fest is in Maine and the cell signal sucks. Thats the only way I camp
I’m Loving following along from afar, but there is something about it being so secluded and remote that makes it special.
N2 Sphere… section 108… someone in the 29-32 rows yelling
“bring in back Trey… you’ve gone too far”
over and over during all the best parts… you’re doing Phish wrong and everyone hates you.
I’m sad to report that people around me
At Bethel did not seem to know what Fikus was. Made mental notes of the heady few amongst while judging the less heady masses.
So… Bethel. Where do people stay? Exploring taking my family to this vs. doing festival. We would play it by ear with attendance. Is the venue easy for kids. I don’t need opinions on kids and shows… I have a system that works
13 years ago, we saw Phish play in what felt like a high school gym. (Or I uploaded photos to facebook from the 10/19 Augusta, ME show. Still listen to the Reba. Such a fun second set.
Following up the Sphere with a three night run at Great fucking Woods to kick off a tour is pretty lol. Can’t wait to be on the edge of the lawn getting yelled at by some asshole security guard listening to Mikes muddled base during that opening “Stealing Time the Faulty Plan”
Remains one of the great nights of Phish!
I have no idea if it holds up on tape, but man it was fun on the floor that night. I remember tickets were really tough.
What’s a Phish song that is generally well liked that took you a long time to come around on?
Mine has to be Walls of the Cave. Jam section aside, took me 15 years to like.
Getting annoyed by repeats when you didn’t see a lot of shows is a funny thing. If you’re on tour sure… but lol at being annoyed that they played DWD (or whatever) at Bethel and Mondo.
Trinket of the day
A day late, but one of my favorite series
Hampton Death Star (v4 I think) by , a Vermont artist.
You’ve probably seen Chuck/Pinsanity at Phanart or a show.
@TracyKordon
Just add “… to me” to the end of that and I agreed. It matters if it matters to you. More
Doesn’t mean better (to me) but my nature is count and track things and collect. I like stats and show count is part of that.
Had a long conversation with my 8 year old (that she wanted to have) about being modest and the balance of celebrating an achievement (like scoring a goal) and being pretentious. Good talk
