Resist the urge to post that you are getting rejections. It comes off poorly + we are only 1 month into the cycle. More rejections are coming...but so are interview invites.
Crush every intrvw. Control what you can control. Prepare for all outcomes. Don't lose hope!

I wonder if it helped at all, because now there is increased stress with Step 2 and then the increased stress of switching specialties, getting all the right letters, changing personal statements etc all based on a test score that typically comes out a rew weeks before apps lol

Grateful for the PDs and staff who read through 1000+ apps/PS/LORs, then 4+ hours several times a week for MONTHS interviewing... all to be harassed by applicants by email/calls 24/7... then do it all again the next year 😅

You shouldnt be able to copy and paste half of your PS into any one else's (and not sound weird). When discussing "why *insert specialty*" it must be personalized. For ex, I related anesthesiology to my background in football. They know why it's great. Share why it's for YOU!
