Hello
@Delta
the three of us just made the US Olympic team in the decathlon. Can we please get 3 business class tickets to Europe for the games? We’re all 6’5 and need those spacious lay-flat seats so we’re ready to compete
In a sport where the best athletes in the country only receive a $12,000 stipend from USATF (and have to be top 15 in the world to get it), it's absolutely absurd that our CEO Max Siegel just made $3,819,264 in one year.
Has the IAAF made a single major change in the past 3 years that WASN’T harmful to the sport?
- Reduce field event clock to 30s (later reverted)
- World ranking system
- Remove hammer throw from DL
- Host WC in Doha one month late
- Remove TJ, Discus, 200, and Steeple from DL
That’s the 5th national champion from the 2017
@StanfordXCTF
roster. Plus Val’s oly gold and Mackenzie Little’s WC bronze and Val, grant, and Elise’s national records. Is that good?
OFF TO THE OLYMPICS 🇺🇸
Fiona O'Keefe WINS the Trials in her marathon debut, American record holder Emily Sisson finishes runner-up, and Dakotah Lindwurm rounds out the podium.
O'Keeffe: 2:22:10
Sisson: 2:22:42
Lindwurm: 2:25:31
Please keep me in your prayers it’s Girl Scout cookie season but I’ve been trying to cut down on sugar, so I’ve decided not to participate this year. Needless to say this is a very difficult time for me so please be nice to me
@MJGold
I disagree, at least for qualification in the dec/hep. Only 10 men and 6 women in the world beat the Paris standards this year. The rest qualify by world rankings, which is a fundamentally flawed way of ranking multi-event athletes for a number of reasons.
if i had a nickel for every time i got a marketing email for something i didnt sign up for I would have enough nickels to pay for a computer science degree to learn how to code and make a virus to send back to every company that sends me marketing emails
Why did USATF raise the price of registration for USAs? In 2021 it was $40 to register for Oly Trials, and this year it was $50. That literally only hurts the athletes
I made a mistake when calculating the total compensation by counting the deferred money twice. Taxes are confusing. I believe the correct total is $12,271,337 but if anyone wants to go through 8 years of Form 990s and double check, be my guest
My Twitter got hacked so I’m sorry if I tried to scam you with NFTs. If I ever tweet about NFTs again you can just assume it’s not me. I don’t even know what they do and at this point I’m too afraid to ask
Everyone understands when an NFL team rests their starters but when I rest my fantasy starters I get told I’m "terrible at this” and “don’t understand how fantasy football works”
