New blog on the way, and I'll be posting it on the Blue place and the Threaded place. It's time to draw a line. Twitter has changed my life several times over the last 15 years. Or rather the people I found here, and who found me have. (1/x)

Of course, I'm sure there are plenty of unpleasant and unethical CEOs in the world. But Musk stands out for his hands-on approach to Twitter, and his far-right values. So, I'm moving on. Goodnight. (5/5)

RT @leefurney: "I am absolutely sure Welby, as a student, knew in 1978 that there was a problem with Smyth."

@daveroper77 Very impressive Dave. I got knocked out of our play-offs last week. Got carried away by away by a few Tua games, and then he let me down.

@megs_cornwell The stats from the game were astonishing.

I think this is the most important thing I wrote this year. The reason: Christian leaders in all sorts of movements love to be 'National Director' and run away from the responsibility the title implies.

@PeteGreig Amazing. This must be why you're too busy to investigate Gerald Coates' behaviour at Waverley Abbey.

@Elainebks @PaulRam60679993 But did the Israelites change their rules on that, like they did with passover?

@Elainebks I'm finding it tricky to find an inclusive friendly church in my part of the UK.

@TigerYardley You can read the Bible all the time and take things the wrong way. I found it was profitable to seek out alternative voices- not just those approved by the church I was in.

I see a lot less people. Churches expose you to a variety of people, some funny, some kind, some odd, some intimidating, some difficult. More of the former, but the latter leave an outsize impact.

Am I 'nowhere with God'? You'd have to ask him that. Have I 'fallen away'? It's kind of a weird metaphor tbh. I have less guilt about evangelism and fancy dress at Halloween. Wallowing in sin, that's me.

This year was a historic low in my church attendance. I think I made it to 5 or 6 services. How did that pan out? I had a load more free time. I did a lot less singing. I learned a lot more about the Bible. Weird, eh? Churches are often not good places to learn about the Bible.

@TheQuietOut Interesting. Many non-Christians I mention it to have never heard of it.
