This is incredibly welcome. 41% of council homes sold under Right to Buy are now private lets. It would be devastating to see that trend continue and affect new council homes being brought forward ⬇️
NEW: Angela Rayner says she wants to restrict new council homes from being sold under the right to buy scheme. The policy has been blamed for contributing to homelessness. She also announced £10m to help rough sleepers through the winter.
