Masking in healthcare settings should be permanent. As important a mitigation as many other things we do (hand washing, isolation, terminal cleaning, sterilization, disinfection, cohorting, etc). It’s not ideology, it’s simple common sense. 😷😷😷😷

Hit a little milestone: 42 days with no alcohol. I finally decided it was not a good coping strategy for stress & I was 100% right. Sleep is waaay better, craving for junk food is almost gone, & no longer worrying that I was consuming too much. Sincerely liberating to stop.

Shout out to the ICU team taking care of my brother. He’s about to be extubated, having made major improvements in his breathing over the past 48h. They are hoping not to have to put the tube back in, but it’s looking promising. Non-COVID pneumonia is harsh, but he is winning. ❤️
