History repeats itself again in this case, absolutely bad takes about Bittensor traveling through the internet but many don't know what they are talking about. Subnet teams will be the most successful AI start-ups in open source history, $TAO will become more & more expensive but also rarer due to widespread distribution. $TAO will be the NVIDIA of crypto, 76% of all NVIDIA employees are millionaires because they were involved in the stock share & worked hard for it & the same is reflected at Bittensor. Time is the key to success, & $TAO has what no one has. Bittensor has the largest crypto financial institutions behind it, which are themselves involved in the ecosystem as validators or as a subnet, ex Google/Gemini, meta, as well as web2 AI brains are working on the permissionless open source wave. You can't stop a project that has the most activity on github & huggingface of all other projects so easily. Bittensor has overtaken some OpenAI models in the LLM section & has surpassed Llama models with token speed & parameters. Big brained $REI dev @0xreisearch dropping knowledge bombs. The insight that LLMs work better as evaluators than core processing units is a total gamechanger. This proves one thing: power is nothing without efficiency. LLMs are incredible, but using them as the core can bottleneck an otherwise sleek system. This is exactly the kind of sharp thinking we need to see in tech and crypto. By leveraging LLMs strategically, like in Quant on demand, you maximize their strengths without compromising performance. In a system like ours where an LLM is not the core, the moment you implement one it becomes THE bottleneck. That became very clear during development of Quant on demand, where Rei uses an LLM just at the end, to word the results of the analysis. Excluding api response time (basically negligible), the actual analysis take 1/10th of the time it take the llm to read the results and add explanation to them. As an experiment, we tried to offload the full analysis to the llm (API call raw data -> data cleaning -> LLM), and not only it took a longer time, the results was also extremely subpar and absolutely not comparable to the one we got using our in-house core. Sometime soon, starting from this, I'll explain why, in my opinion, llms are good evaluators but not really good cores.
