Tear doesnt rely on special summoning either you can easily just pass on Kitkallos and win games because you have a Sulliek Scream and Cryme setup

TCG banned Maxx C in Feb 2018 and for an entire year we had either a different flavour of an FTK deck whether it be pend or danger FTK or we had Gouki a deck that was on the verge of tier 0

Consistency. In the TCG it wasn't consistent enough for some of the best players to take to events. In MD there's 3 Uni 1 prosp 0 terraforming and we may not even get 3 field spells
