I will say this. I have not played a game Yu-Gi-Oh since the banlist.
I have no motivation to buy a new deck, to make time to play the game, it turns out, other things compete for YGO.
I can play games with friends online, focus on work, gym, my dog.
It's not worth it for me.

The more testing I do the more I realize that Tenpai Dragons is a deck that either wins or it doesn’t.
That is, there are hardly any lines of play, you are given a hand, does it beat your opponent? 99% of games if your hand fails to OTK, you lose.
No agency in your wins.

+1 to this, I like duels that get represented by the cards you play on the table.
Things like rule-sharking, time control, and mental battles don't actually evoke player skill.
Bluffing is more subtle than just straight up lying to your opponent lmao.

I had a Dinosaur opponent combo through two hand traps, he went into Infernal Flame Banshee into Nemesis Flag.
I think "oh crap am I just getting Protos'd?" but he adds Nemesis Corridor.
I say aloud, "Phew, it's just Colossus" and proceed to OTK him next turn.

This is an awful idea… you are going to need judges for judge calls, judges for disconnects people can’t test decks without owning the cards.. like brother if we wanted to remote play we could do that with any discord or screen share app , this is extremely unnecessary .

A Los Angeles Regional is 10 rounds of Swiss with some of the best players in the game in attendance, I feel like these kind of regionals should definitely have this quality of coverage.

When people say "Oh Labrynth is a great pick in the metagame again." Yes it is, if you have at least 5 YCS TOPS.
I see so many people complain how Labrynth is bad when the deck is probably the most complex and skill intensive.

Traveling and playing Yu-Gi-Oh is the best.
When I went to Puerto Rico to visit family, I only could speak broken Spanish but everyone there wanted to accommodate for me! Like it’s the game that all ties us together no matter what background you’re from.

if you're planning to go to japan to play yugioh i'll tell you right now that isn't going to happen. they straight up told me i wasn't allowed to play locals because i don't speak japanese. after i bought ocg cards so i could play & spent an hour to get there on the train (1/2)

For many people complaining about how there is no stream coverage for smaller YCSes, these broadcasts are INCREDIBLY expensive to operate.
Considering Konami wants good optics for their company, they want to put up an equally quality stream.

There is no actually good way to play these cards in Snake-Eyes besides playing the "sack the starter while not drawing your bricks"
All just a gimmick, and these cards destroy Snake-Eyes more than enable it.
These cards shouldn't exist, but they aren't good.

Not just misplaying but what caused you to misplay, and properly focusing on what important rather than trying to see the play from the next dimension.

If not does it even need any? Seems like every big creator is 25-32yo or so. Which seems to be 70% of the demographic with another 20% being 21-24.

If you need S:P Little Knight for your deck to be good, your deck isn’t good.
Good technical play will always pay more than if you had a certain broken card available to you.
Horrible mentality to have.
“You don’t NEED a copy of S:P Little Knight to play yugioh.”
Common misconception. My hobby is not “playing yugioh”, it is “winning at yugioh”. I cannot win a game of yugioh without a copy of S:P Little Knight.

Talents to look at the hand going first has to be the highest win % card activation in competitive Yu-Gi-Oh.
The ability to look at or take cards out of your opponent's hand is inherently awful design for a card game and every card that does it and sees the slightest bit of play should be at 0
