@blair_mayne @authordlewis @BelTel I have read all the books on Paddy Mayne and this portrayal of him is awful. I kept explaining to my wife that this wasn’t him. Its ruined the series for me. He never would swear, shoot in a church, raise his voice. And for his men to question him as is shown, I doubt ever was.

@authordlewis @william11770302 I think those in power are missing the point. Paddy WAS recommended for the VC, but it was downgraded by a Whitehall official, not a member of the military. No one is asking for valour in war to be re looked at. It’s for an obvious wrong/error to be rightly corrected.
