I’m sadly becoming less optimistic these days too. Looking more and more like Ukraine will be forced to undertake a massively risky operation of some sort accepting large losses to unlock the stalemate / slow progress of their advance. I don’t fault the Ukrainians whatsoever;

U.S. usually delivers equipment fast. We may require some training before shipment but I expect it will be there soon. E.g. we shipped and trained soldiers on usage and maintenance of HIMARS in less than a month.
