@anisupremacy the SA attempt on madeleine was just as useless. and actually scary. wrecking her boutique and attacking her would have been enough. i don't know how i feel about using SA as shock value, but it's even weirder that the victim is almost always a woman.

hate to be that person but even though i agree it does sound like "et par dessus" it doesn't make sense in this context (grammatically, and also lestat's face as he's saying it. ). he's probably saying "en pardessus" (in overcoat) to describe Armand who's following them.
