My tiny revelation today is that kids just want to help. It doesn't occur to them to consider if they are actually helpful while they do the things. They just do, and want to be with you while they do, and it's sort of wonderful.

I bought a rake for gathering stuff in my living room. Makes toy collection easier 😅 not sure it fits the 10 minute idea or not but it feels pretty brilliant as a person who dislikes picking things up a hundred times in a row all over the house.

So it isn't perfect, but look everyone! I can breathe again in this space! I got help from the kids, and we rearranged some things to help some bottlenecks in our home. This looks really brings out the stains of the carpet. Follow for more influencer tips. 🤣🤣

Probably an unpopular opinion but don't put a pocket in a dress unless it's gonna lay nice and not add weird fabric bulk that ruins the silhouette of the dress. I have a couple dresses that I think the company just added so they could check off "has pockets"

Violet syrup. I added a dash of lemon and it turned this light blue/purple color ❤️ probably could have had a higher flower to water ratio but I was trying not to over harvest my violets.

Opinion. Valentine's Day is a better holiday when you view it as a celebration of friendships like they do in elementary school. So many more people in your life to celebrate with that way. Like sure, do something special with your soulmate, but love on your friendships too.

The magic of parchment paper ❤️ I was inspired by those pretty color sourdough breads I've been seeing around. And now I'm thinking about buying some beet powder so next time I can mix some with powdered sugar and make pink hearts instead of cinnamon hearts.

We had peanut noodles for supper but I kept the sauce in a separate pan and the kids could just have buttered noodles of cheese powder or whatever on theirs so Wayne and I got to put the peanut sauce on ours and it was SO GOOD and nobody complained about eating a food I love.

Homemade pizza all ready for candlelit dinner! We have a leftover salmon one almost done in the oven too. Cheddar cheese because I forgot to check our cheese stores before the grocery store closed. Also cheddar pizza is delicious.

Homeschool club went pretty well. I think I could have prepared what I said a little better ahead of time, but I think everyone thought it was successful! It was hard to know how to prepare because often times only us and one other family shows up, but today it was 5 families!

Worked on the burrow mural this afternoon 😁 finished the sky and finally got to add something alive. Plants are prairie grass, compass plant, and cottonwood so far. Also added an earthworm. Might work a bit more on the cottonwood roots color but happy with it for now.
