1. Don't overwork yourself. It may be tempting to try and participate in everything, but please keep in mind how fast and how much you can create before you start to experience burnout. This is very real especially for people that try to fill out all the prompts for a week. +

Lastly, here's a thread on some red flags to look out for when thinking about buying/contributing/modding:
I'm begging you guys, please be wary of zines. Look at the mods, ask for their experience, go to old zine social media pages. Look for red flags (which I'll detail below in the thread). It is so crucial to know the team behind the zine because it could make or break it.

4. Fancy fonts and effects are pretty to look at but if they hinder the readability of your text then they make your graphic useless. Try to use ornate fonts (also known as display fonts) only for headings or large text, and use a simpler font for the rest of your post.

1. Contrast is important. When using a light background, your text should be dark, and vice versa. Light text on light backgrounds or dark text on dark backgrounds (when there is very little contrast between the colours) makes a graphic very difficult to read.
