fans will be happy to know that I asked him about the O’Brien situation and his response suggested his loan is simply to get him game time now but he remains a player we have long term plans for.

If true, then the size of the punishment should reflect the trivial nature of the rule break. The rules aim to promote profit & sustainability. It would be harsh to deduct points because we held out for a more reasonable transfer offer. Goes against the ethos of the rules.
