Huge training misconception is that training like a bodybuilder means lifting “light”.
Trust me, the ones with the most dense muscle are moving some serious iron in their sessions
They’re just focused more on moving it well to tax the muscle, not just from point A to Point B.

701lb squat (USPC National Record)
340 bench (smoked 350 on 3rd attempt but my butt came up so no lift)
672 deadlift (USPC National Record)- got to attempt 683 after for a 4th attempt but was gassed and missed it.
1714 total and Best Overall Male Lifter!
It’s been a while since we felt some confidence on bench. Now that I have a little more body weight since bodybuilding last year it’s starting to move nicely again 🤠 120x1

When you hire a coach, you need to trust the process & I really encourage new clients to give it a year to really see results… Changing habits takes time and you cannot do them all at once
Still no power at home or at Bryksquad Barbell. Current available breakfast is Starbucks for the foreseeable future 🥲 they estimated another week until we have power in the house — so we are staying with Jeromys family for the time being 🥰 that part I’m grateful for in this

ONE YEAR since we started from literally nothing, a few friends we trusted to help us + keep it a secret, a U-Haul truck filled up and nothing but believing in ourselves 110%. I can vividly remember thinking "I wonder what it's going to be like this time next
I gave up everything I built to open a gym with my husband & the everything I am discussing specifically here is the fitness classes I would host at a toxic gym we previously worked out of, nasty trainers that would prefer turf wars over peace & lack of professional ownership.
Spent most of the first year building the gym, our community and marketing. I did not spend enough time on my self in here, year 2 is the comeback for me 👟🔥
Challenging prep is defined as cracking your knee cartilage & being on crutches for the first 6 weeks of prep… followed by having an emergency tooth pulled ~10 days before nationals causing prep to end early & eat very minimal 😊
