For some American friends this remains bitter and raw. Led one to say last night that Reagan was more of a criminal/traitor than Nixon.
Jimmy Carter is dead, and the U.S. has never reckoned with the "October Surprise" scandal — the fact that the 1980 Reagan campaign colluded with the Iranian government to make sure the American hostages weren't released before the election. This was genuine treason by the GOP.

@egavactip Fair. Still have issues with ‘compelled’ insincere apologies, and those who agree with what was said nodding knowingly, with a wink. ‘They HAD to do that!’
