The King has been greeted with sunshine and big crowds in St Peter Port ☀️
His Majesty met islanders after this morning’s special States sitting on the seafront 🇬🇬
A group of women came together this morning in support of a mother who was asked to move while breastfeeding at a local hotel.
They made their way to the Premier Inn at Admiral Park, where the incident was reported to have happened over the weekend.
Premier Inn has apologised.

The Duchess of Edinburgh has been in the island today as more than 150 young people prepare for the Association of Sail Training Organisations’ Guernsey to Poole Small Ships Race, which gets under way on Tuesday afternoon ⛵️

King Charles III and Queen Camilla will be coming to Guernsey on Tuesday 16 July.
It will be their first official visit to the island in 12 years and their first since King Charles’ accession.

In February 1997, around 4.8m. Lego pieces were lost overboard from the Tokio Express container ship in a storm. Of those millions of pieces, there were only 4,200 octopuses lost at sea, and one local beachcomber has found one!

A local fisherman says he’s been “overwhelmed” after a video of him catching and releasing an egg-laden crayfish was shared thousands of times.
Daniel Bourgaize is now petitioning for a law requiring that breeding shellfish be returned.
