Tough one for my guy last night. Things weren't going his way all night. Gets fouled down 3 shooting a 3 heading to the line...packed gym....84% FT shooter, missed the first. He was devastated. Again, he felt he let the team down. Had to let him know, "you are being prepared!!!"

I don't feel like I brag about him, I'm sure some disagree...but this shot is hours of work. With the ball in basketball ready/triple threat position 27' from basket and just rises up and....bottoms!! He still amazes me!! Super proud of the kid!! @hsgr2026hoops

Losses have tended to send me into despair—the void, I’ve called it. I thought this is what it means to be competitive. Don’t get me wrong, I hate losing. But in the process of rebuilding a program in an exceptionally competitive conference, I’ve spent more time in the void…

Not a good game last night for many reasons but he continued to fight and while I hated he felt like he let the team down I’m elated that he holds himself accountable. Having a bad night happens, excited to see how he responds…
