Mostly EV stuff, misc. other nerd, car, and occasionally lightly political. I reply if I think there's more to be said, or a different opinion to give.

@theOGLindy Yes, DC can be essentially any power level. I'm a huge fan of 20-50kW chargers in "medium dwell" locations like malls, restaurants, etc. The problem is that each DC charger is like an order of magnitude more expensive than an AC charger.

@theOGLindy @brandenflasch Lol. Got 2 dogs. I think the TSX has been their favorite vehicle because of the low load height and the ease of seeing out the windows.

@theOGLindy @brandenflasch Model S* Even as someone who now owns a pickup truck, I am generally anti pickup truck.

@theOGLindy @brandenflasch EQS is a pretty amazing roadtrip EV. And apparently a model 3 is too small (!?)

@con247c @brandenflasch I did all my home reno work with a Mustang and an Acura TSX + small 4x8 trailer. Saved a ton of money vs buying a truck that would be more expensive and use twice the fuel.

@theOGLindy @brandenflasch I definitely don't need a truck. But it has been convenient to have. I wouldn't choose it as my primary roadtrip vehicle, however. If these weren't so ugly...

@brandenflasch R1T is a great roadtrip vehicle unless you care about time... Tolerable in good weather and annoying in bad weather(see my recent post about "needing" 99% to make it 196mi due to cold and headwind.

@koalafiedtesla It comes off for some showers. Otherwise I just scrub around/under it. I love the sleep tracking, silent alarms, and extremely dim clock and the size is small relative to my wrist. When I've worn very large watches in the past I've found those disruptive.

@RomainHedouin Absolutely use the whole damn battery when convenient. But also you don't need to charge to 90-100% daily if your commute is 30-80mi round trip with long days hitting 140mi.

@Skye_Borg @brandenflasch This would be basically a holy Grail data set if it included some way to know if a battery had been replaced.

@AustyUSA @ionnaofficial Priority #1 is ensuring relatively comprehensive, fast, reliable charging in every city and frequently along corridors. Parallel with that is ubiquitous L2 charging After those 2 things, there's no excuse for adoption, and the business case for nice amenities is strong.

@AustyUSA @ionnaofficial Locks should be a simple code that is generated when you start your charge and is deactivated 5 minutes after you stop
