@McKirdyTrained Don't worry if you can't; I'll take your word for it :-) As actually qualifying for worlds is never really an issue (often rolls down), it's more a matter of how individual governing bodies set selection criteria in response to the revised criteria than anything.

@Barrieshepley @harrisoncbc @MalindiElmore @bostonmarathon @CBCOlympics @AthleticsCanada As an update Malindi was able to do her first workout back today after a few down weeks to settle the hamstring. Just unfortunate timing for Boston prep but feeling good about Paris.

@CanadianRunning Complete nothingburger. Historically, they haven't even had full fields for WC marathons with much easier standards.

@ReidCoolsaet So much for WA getting 50% from standard and 50% from rankings. Women likely to require standard to qualify. Valencia also had 2 years of qualifying times so somewhat skewed (or are your figures this year only?).

@sweatscience Paris Olympic marathoners take note (except for the poles). Love that the research is directly linked in the article, now I don't have to send you an e-mail (unless of course you came across any other pertinent info for a super hilly marathon effort)!
