unironically, the affairs and baseball DO matter. I think the X-Men (and cape comics in general) right now is missing a lot of personal connection to the characters as people. We should be invested in their personal lives and relationships. The soap opera stuff is a strength
The trajectory of the X-men comics has been on a downward spiral for years now. All this talk about "safe havens" and "new gods" and "allegorical sovereignty and safety for minorities" 🙄 I remember when X-men comics were about REAL shit that mattered like affairs and baseball!
