Opposition from them on a risk-based taxation framework for heated tobacco products is odd given the fact that they have submitted PMTAs for their glo products and claim they “will be ready to compete” in the US. I’m sure they won’t totally change their minds if authorized.
How committed is RJ Reynolds to tobacco harm reduction? Below is an email from a Reynolds lobbyist to Indiana elected officials, aiming to block a bill that would lower taxes on heated tobacco compared to cigarettes. The bill passed out of committee 11-1.
