This is a weird take, the trade request is not about running from the grind, the Front Office lied, and made false promises for YEARS, and failed to support him in his pursuit of a championship HERE. It is 100% on the FO
It’s crazy that for 1 million streams only generates $4000… total.
That $4000 is then split with over 50% going to the label and the remainder is split between artists, producers and writers.
My heart is overflowing with gratitude for my family and friends who have been with me through thick and thin 🙏🏼
Portland, we won a Grammy last night 🌹
Thank you

Best Electronic/Dance Album of the Year 🤞🏼

I think it's clear that this is a lack of respect from the FO conversation, and not a "running from the grind" convo.
Dame 100% wanted to stay here
Really disheartening to see so many stories about Noah Miller taking advantage of young artists and producers, scamming them out of their money with promises of placements, management, playlist spots. The saddest part is that people like that are everywhere blending in.
Shaggy: it wasn’t me
6ixNine: It all started on a night in 2000, when Shaggy was in fact creeping with the girl next door. Picture this, they were both butt naked banging on the bathroom floor.
I read somewhere that when we obsess over perfection in our art we subconsciously take away from its honesty. Our art reflects who/where we are at that moment & trying to perfect something that is beautifully imperfect is a pointless effort.
been thinking about this all day
Something is wrong if a non-music company is willing to spend 5-25k for a 60 second clip of music, but the companies that literally thrive off music being made and released are paying less than a penny a stream
Grapes must be crushed to make wine
Diamonds form under pressure
Olives are pressed to release oil
Seeds grow in the darkness
whenever you feel crushed, under pressure, pressed, or in darkness, you’re in a powerful place of transformation.
How badly do you want to be seen that you need to throw your uninformed opinions into trending topics.
There’s a complete lack of empathy across social media, it’s really sad.
People make mistakes all the time. That’s part of being human.
Imagine if the roles were reversed.
Blue checks, bot followers, etc. These vultures prey on the aspirations and passions of innocent kids chasing their dream. I urge all of you to study business. College courses, reading books & articles from reputable sources, consulting with an attorney, etc.
Since working here I’ve rediscovered what it means to be a producer. I’ve been blessed with an abundance of opportunities to teach, learn and share moments with amazing people. I’m so grateful 🙏🏼
I've tried to type how I feel about this ten times, but words don't really explain how heartbreaking this is. My prayers go out to everyone hurting right now, family, friends, fans. Mac Miller you will be missed by so many.
“Don't bend; don't water it down; don't try to make it logical; don't edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly.”

I want to start a platform for creatives (specifically musicians, but really creatives in general) to share both their successes and challenges, and the steps they take to overcome the obstacles they face. It could be group chat, or reddit/discord based. Who would be interested?
I care way too deeply to try to fake a friendship or support someone with some kind of ulterior motive.
I hate that we live in a world where that’s even a thing.
If I tell you I’m here for you, then I’m here. If I tell you I support you, I 100% mean it.
Love you all ❤️
I've been a logic user for 6-7 years, but I keep hearing really amazing things about the workflow in Live 10. Have any of my followers switched from logic to

? What was your experience?
Man oh man, this morning I was reminded of a horrible choice I made when I was younger.
I was offered 20 bitcoins for my mixtape in like 2011. I said no because I had no idea what it was, or how I would use it.
Bitcoin hit 20k today
20 btc = $414,480

I think the “I did it on my own”, “I was broke now I have money”, and “I’m so real” narratives in rap are absolutely predictable and lame... Tell a new story, bring something different to the table, or accept that you’ll always blend in with the thousands telling the same tale...
If you’re just starting out as a producer, or just looking to improve, I have three pieces of advice for you
1. Try to recreate specific feelings in your work. Try creating with a memory or scene from a movie in mind.
The sessions we hold every month at our studio are absolutely amazing. I'm blown away every time by talent and more importantly the passion that these artists bring.
Hosting free jam sessions for local artists has allowed us to connect with so many creatives. It's a blessing
