There is such a double standard around Irish in schools like lets be real no teenager is absolutely jumping for joy to learn any subject but theres this idea that unless you are smiling, screaming, crying, throwin up to learn irish, you shouldnt have to like what???????
“Why should I be forced to sit in an Irish class I don’t enjoy?”
The

audience have their say on whether Irish should be compulsory in schools.
I subbed in a 4th Class today and we worked together and got both the Wordle and Foclach word within 4 guesses and there was wholesome bedlam in the class lol they were delighted with life
A reminder to all schools to show appreciation to auxiliary staff this Christmas. My Dad (caretaker) didn’t even get a card last year from his school and he still talks about how sad it made him x
my granda just called me asking me to get him an Irish phrase book because he wants to ‘brush up on his Gaeilge’ and most importantly, understand TG4’s coverage of the football and hurling matches

The driver stopped and was so kind to me

I remember first feeling hatred towards capitalism when adults would diminish any achievement I attained as a young person by saying ‘that’s great ..for your CV!!’
"Where the hell are you going to get them from?"

I, once again, would like to remind you all of the painting a 4th class pupil gave me on my last day of placement after I happily allowed her to doodle in school for the time I was there
I started couch to 5K today in my local park and even though it was only interval training, an elderly men clapped and gave me a cheer everytime I ran past him 😭😭😭😭😭😭🥹🥹🥹🥹
some of you might remember last year when my dad (caretaker of a primary school) didn’t get a thank you card from staff at the end of the year. I am happy to report that this year he did ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dear everyone;
Please stop saying
“Hey Guys”….
In emails, seminars, when addressing people, and in opening speaker programmes.
“Hi folks” ☑️
is perfect, it’s inclusive and gender neutral
Thanks

‘I shouldn’t have to learn something i dont enjoy’ is such a weak argument too
I hated maths but knew in the grand scheme of things, education is bigger than my own personal likes and dislikes.
Zoom out for five seconds challenge, there is a bigger picture here x
This is giving ✨shot in the dark✨ but if anyone is ever part of a campaign/event and would like their promotional posts on social media to be bilingual (an iconic move btw), I would loveee to do more Social Media work as Gaeilge this year. DM’s are open for said fun jobs🤍
I don’t know how I feel about the two johnnies …. don’t love, don’t hate .. they can be funny .. but then they use ‘I Hate The Mrs and Kids ™️’ humour and I’m like ?¿? ¿¿
Cancer and cardiovascular problems are "almost a certainty" from long-term exposure to vapes, according to a study conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
I was at my first family gathering in a long time recently (bc of Covid) and got hit with the:
‘A Masters in Irish? Is that right? And what would you do with that now afterwards?’
When Britney Spears said that there’s only two types of people in the world in her hit single Circus (2008), she meant those who believe in supremacy and those who believe in supremacy
I don’t have makeup on today so naturally, the gal working in Dunnes didn’t believe I was over 23 and I couldn’t buy cocktails for Lucy’s birthday tomorrow 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
it took my parents two years to save enough to send me to the Gaeltacht once
the cost of Gaeltacht courses are a bit of a barrier for young people from working class backgrounds being able to experience the language in that LOVELY way 💖
nearly crying on the bus because I read a tweet about a mother in Rafah who woke her child up in the middle of the night to play so their last memory together would be a happy one

It’s difficult to comprehend just how much audacity a British man needs to have to ask an Irish woman if she needs more education on Irish history?????????
ok so what am I supposed to end e-mails with, because I’ve now heard that “best” and “regards” are both passive aggressive and I’m starting to realize I don’t have the social skills for this
my niece pretending to be me:
‘I can play with you for a few minutes but then I have to do my college work.I have to write LOTS of WORDS in IRISH.’
