Honestly HOW are seasons THIS boring in Destiny 2...
There are SO many things that could EASILY be done to make this game more interesting every season, instead of adding the new 'Salvage' mode

I know we don't have it yet, but almost all the listed aspects seem super off-meta.
Fragments seem pretty cool and look like they will work well. I get the vibe this is more of a "showy" subclass than a powerful one.

Super simple, everyone loves messing with add clear weapons and builds.
Could have 10+ modes in this alone with increasing difficulty, loadout restrictions, roguelite elements, etc.
Boss only modes would be sweet as well!

Ik a couple ppl mentioned it, but envious assassin resets when swapping pretty much anything in your loadout...
I get the cascade switch being OP, but this is terrible. Losing ammo on other weapon swaps is insane.
Reconstruction also works the same way now 🤷♂️

Was initially SUPER excited watching the reveal. Myself and others have been asking for a horde mode for years.

2. Parkour Challenges
Destiny EASILY has some of the best movement and a skill ceiling for that movement out of any game.
Time trials similar to headlong with more emphasis on movement would be awesome.
Could also implement sparrows as well

3. Targetable Loot Farms.
Could be similar to something like 'Summit' in Division 2 where you could brainlessly farm forever.
And actually get the loot you want.
Massive drop rates throughout the activity, rather than just at the end.

Hoverboard will definitely be nice for situations like this to fly around WAY easier than slipping. No skill required.
Can go back for revives and things like that in the GM this week (griddy emote is peak btw)

IMO Bungie needs to hire people who play the game at the highest level to help with development.
No raid race (Even w/ 48 Hours) should have a near 40% success rate.
Don't think a CONTEST Day 1 should be beaten in the same time frame Scourge was, when people were over-leveled.
Root of Nightmares had more day one clears than VotD, DSC, GoS, CoS, SotP, LW, SoS, EoW, Lev, WotM, KF, CE, and VoG combined.

Not saying that developing the game is easy by any means.
But coming up with different ideas and changing the game should be happening each season at MINIMUM.
Even if something flops, better than playing it safe IMO and doing the same thing every time.

1 Raid per year is not going to be enough to keep the player base engaged.
It's going to be the exact same cycle of "Heavy content drop with lots to do" then the game feels dead for a whole year.
Remove all the seasonal content & just give me 2 raids and 2 dungeons pls 🙏

Completed every raid with only abilities (Not allowed to use weapons for damage).
Thought witness was going to be impossible but we cooked up some pretty fun strats to spam celestial. (blight ranger = meta)

Even with the well nerfs, I feel like Banner shield is a very close alternative
40% damage buff which tends to make up for having someone not dealing damage.
Team takes no damage / no flinch
Can easily move around.
And offers +50 Handling +50 Reload to the team

Is there any reason that we can't just load up whatever checkpoint we want at any time for raids and dungeons?
At least after the first clear.
If checkpoints are allowed / wish wall exists, why not just make it easier for us to start wherever we want 🤷♂️

We have no plans to issue restrictions or bans to checkpoint bots under this policy change. Breathe easy.

Radiant Dance Machine changes make them pretty wild
Easy to get off 8 rockets in 1 rotation (this was just 7). More if you can extend the timer further.

No way people actually think Getaway Artist is a good exotic.
All you get is 5% grenade energy back per burst.
Just run Fallen Sunstar and drop rifts and you get the same thing but better, can help your team, and can keep your grenades.

900 rpm SMG's and wave-frames need to be nerfed into the ground.
We've had an smg META for like 3 years now.
And weapons like forbearance out add clear everything in the game.
750's should be slightly nerfed too...

Opinion: The lanterns and Bridge encounter makes Crota's End the worst raid in the game.
Requiring every location to be preserved in combination w/ weight of darkness and sword tracking makes abyss SO BORING (and tedious)
Bridge is just time-gated and slow.

Massive QOL change Destiny really needs is being able to start any Raid or Dungeon at any checkpoint.
Wish wall is great, and being able to do this from the destinations page would be even better.
No reason not to have this IMO and would eliminate the need for checkpoint bots

"Unlocking Strand" does still require you to re-purchase fragments across characters.
This is after paying for a boost. Wish this wasn't the case, like that stasis only made you unlock these once per account.
The stasis Meditation grind is brutally boring...

Seeing bungie double down and confirm this is here to stay is not ideal...
1s > 2s, but still shouldn't exist.
Also I feel like having the communication w/ devs is pretty pointless if they aren't communicating the detailed logic behind decisions.
We would like to give some extra context on the weapon swap delay change. The shotgun exploit wasn't the only issue we were seeing and to safely fix the underlying problem we needed to introduce a global firing delay when swapping weapons via the inventory screen.

I thought d2foundry had it wrong, why did Frenzy get buffed?!
Used to be +50 to reload and handling, now is +100 to just max each stat out.
I think most weapons end up maxed around +50. But still crazy to have a roaming 15% damage increase and max two of the best stats out.

Hunter skate just isn't working. Inputs are correct, eager edge is on, not macroing, restarting game didn't fix it.

People just want a fun and simple horde mode to play and this feels WAY too overdone.
Grinding to wave 50 is going to take forever. Even if you're fast it is at least 25+ minutes.
Infinite waves would also add SO MUCH fun for the community to see who can grind the highest.

Don't get me wrong loadouts are GREAT, but they also kinda suck...
Really need to be able to delete things from loadouts. Deleting random blues only works for armor / weapons and is tedious.
Need to be able to remove the entire subclass on a loadout too.

Tusk of the Boar w/ Deconstruct is potentially going to be insane.
Was hyped for chain reaction originally.
But w/ deconstruct 2 hits should instantly replenish the mag with ammo from thin air.
Should be pretty easy to have an infinite ammo, no reload wave-frame
(if it works)

Bungies first priority when seeing players use macros should be to fix the game first.
Allow XP to be more easily earned, fix exotic class item drops, etc. Basically remove the DESIRE to ever AFK farm.
THEN, update your Ban Policy.
Update 8.0.5 rolled out earlier this month, bringing Solstice, Exotic class item drop rate changes, and more.
We're taking an opportunity to update our Restriction & Ban policy to include AFK Macro Loot Farming.

As good as TFS is / was, I feel like the reveal was a huge "nothing".
I have always continued to play D2 for the next raid release. Everything in between was cool, but the raids are what I stuck around for.
Hope we get news for the raid cycle if D2 continues and there is no D3

IMO accidental movement techniques and other mechanics in games are ALWAYS superior to intentional ones.
Glitch or No Glitch Skating should stay in the game.
- It is fun
- It is harmless
- It allows players to push the bounds on what is possible

Not sure if this would be possible, but would be REALLY cool to be able create loadout sets in DIM.
That way you could have 10 loadouts for a raid and save that as a set, then have sets for every raid.
This way you weren't limited to just 10 loadouts.

Edge transit looks like it will likely just replace cataphract for those who don't want to grind out trials.
Cascade on it is unique as well (first GL with bait and cascade) so this could be insane for burst DPS

Also zero shot adding a horde mode is harder than making a boring 6 man activity with actual mechanics and objectives.

Really great for lowmans and speedruns. Certain mods can be pretty insane.
Wish they would just make all raid mods work on any piece of raid armor tho, so you didn't need sets for each raid.
Master raids NEED artifice armor tho!

Bare minimum: Announce the next raid.
I think a large amount of PvE players have incentive to grind the game to prep for a raid, even if it's 8 months away.
Hope for future = D3 done right (So, no hope lol)

I think it really proves that Destiny doesn't need hand tailored content each season to be fun.
Just shaking things up gives people a reason to hop on the game! And it definitely shows:

Obviously haven't played it yet, but I think the gameplay seen speaks for itself.
