even my very limited understanding of power dynamics, machiavellianism, and just the nature of snake oil and deception, in general, has only led me away from it, and not towards it. many wish to understand this game to play it better. what i've discovered for myself is the more i understand the game, the more i wish to not play it or be around others who are very interested in playing it. as a person, i'm the total opposite of my pseudonym. not in the business of selling myself. wysiwyg.

If you are a smart ambitious engineer or entrepreneur with a *long term horizon*, rural India is a great place to build your dream. Unlike rural areas in developed countries, rural India still has youthful demographics - in fact better demographics than major cities in India, which rely on migration from rural areas for their talent. Why not go to the source of the talent? In the average rural district in India (Tenkasi being typical) you have about 20,000 kids born a year. Think deeply about this number! What can you build with that talent? There are over 600 such rural districts in India! The "long term horizon" part is extremely important. If you want an exit in 3 years, forget it! And look beyond English and engage the talent in their native language.

i approve. this is great advice for the middle class and a big antidote to our scarcity mindset. spend more, consume more — not because buying more stuff will necessarily solve your problems, but because it helps your relationship with money evolve. we are taught to hoard and preserve, and this pathology reflects in everything we do. consumption/acc till you get over this and develop the confidence to know that you can make money whenever you want and it isn't something to protect and hide. doing the latter only reveals that you're unsure if you'll ever be able to make it back. don’t go into debt though. i do not recommend going into debt. just earn more and spend more. live with a loose hand.
