An absolute disgrace
2 year old Ivana Skayki was playing at home in Southern Lebanon when an Israeli airstrike happened on her doorstep. She now has third degree burns on almost half her body. The strike came without warning. Israel says it is targeting Hezbollah. With @goktay @wburema @angiemrad

@moneillsf @allthemarys The dublin end of the train journey is awful. You are herded like cattle into a cold room, then people start crowding the doors, regardless of when they arrived. Everyone makes a mad dash to get a seat. The hourly service may improve the situation but it needs a queuing system

Brave woman
Gisele Pelicot, whose husband drugged her and allowed different men to rape her over the course of 10 years, is holding a public trial and allowing her name to be published, even though she didn't have to. Her husband wished for a private trial, which would have allowed their names to remain anonymous, but she wanted to shame the men who have raped her and hold them responsible publicly for what they've done. She told the court that she hopes her testimony might help spare other women from similar ordeals. She said she pushed for the trial in open court in solidarity with other women who go unrecognized as victims of sexual crimes. Her strength is so unbelievable.
