I do want to say to the leftists/dems still on this platform--thank you for demonstrating the courage and intelligence and pugnaciousness to remain on X despite most of your tribe fleeing, and despite the platform being owned by a man you may dislike. We may all get heated here and insult everything from intelligence to appearance to hygiene, but your presence is invaluable, seriously. We need you. Echo chambers are dangerous to all of society and you are keeping X one of the less echo-chambey apps. 🫡

Some people don't realize that there's a difference between the words "accurate" and "precise." I do know there's a difference, but I always forget what it is, which is a shame because when i write prose i always try to be...accurate or precise.......

The DOGE discoveries are not just about "wasted" taxpayer funds. The real story, the 5 alarm fire, is that USAID was literally funding an entirely hand crafted pseudo-reality. Not just in America but all over the world. You were robbed to fund global psychological operations. -Buying off media outlets -Pushing advertiser Boycotts against X and Rumble as they attempted to decrease censorship (AKA narrative control) -Pushing war propaganda -Funding opposition groups in foreign lands to foment revolutions -Funding lawfare against the former president of the united states and his supporters (I could go on for an hour) People get caught up on the "$100K to study cocaines' impact on chihuahua" stories. That is not the headline here. The headline here is: The US government robbed you blind in an effort to control your mind That's about as big as it gets.

Part of the problem is that the word "racist" carries an unbelievably broad swathe of meaning. In today's world, that one word bears the burden of describing my grandpa who once awkwardly asked me how many black kids were in my school (zero follow up questions/comments); and it also describes people who throw other people into ovens. We need more nuanced language, but I don't think we're generally a nuanced enough species to deal with all that.
