@AlanLevinovitz Can't prove it, but I think it very likely that Jack Kruse got him going on the methylene blue.

@CharlesCMann But it's left us in an interesting position. I think ozempic style weight loss drugs will prove help, but the larger issue of how to live well with abundance will remain with us.

@CharlesCMann In the time I've been a farmer I've gone from thinking I knew exactly how to fix the food system to thinking it should only be reformed with care and humility. I still see lots of room for improvement, but producing a caloric surplus every year is a mind blowing achievement.

@janecoaston Very curious to see if MAHA will go for sugar taxes or stick with this sort of half measure.

I first encountered Jack Kruse as a third tier Paleo dude. Him having the ear of the hhs secretary all these years later is maybe the funniest thing I've ever seen.
RFK Jr putting Methylene Blue in his water while flying is prime we’re so back. MB while flying - Mitigates any radiation burden - Protects against oxidative stress - Anti viral so you don’t catch a cold - Boosts autophagy if fasting on flight Also that dose I don’t recommend, but he’s spearheading a movement so I get it.

@AlanLevinovitz @tnajournal Doing the Huberman protocols is unpleasant in a lot of ways, and certainly inconvenient, but it gives hard choices a larger context of meaning. Again, the potential and often very real problems with this are obvious.

@AlanLevinovitz @tnajournal I have ideas about where I'd like people to get their info, and I also have ideas of systemic reforms that might help. But in the meantime, how is an individual, idiosyncratic human supposed to make hard choices day after day?

I started this post on the wonders of modern agriculture, so I would be remiss if I didn't mention that in the same issue @CharlesCMann is launching a series about the unseen systems that make our lives possible, beginning with food. It is brilliant.
