Yes! Prior good character does not mean that someone is incapable of committing a sexual offence.Conviction of a sexual crime should preclude character references in mitigation.

This is welcome news! Trauma endures and finally the law recognises that victims of child sexual abuse need time, without pressure of limits, to initiate a claim for what they suffered. Time limit for child sex abuse claims to be removed

Same @sdavieslaw!! Trying to submit to this, but the turnaround time is ridiculous! I wrote to the review team to ask when engagement would occur & the next day they opened the call for evidence. Hardly fair to seek contributions w/out decent time to input š«
The Independent Review of Criminal Courts has asked for engagement from anyone who has an interest, but has only allocated 3 weeks to submit evidence! The backlog is causing me significant difficulty. Itās also the reason I donāt have time to respond.
