@JahangirAsgha10 Parkinson’s patients generally do fine with elective spine surgery:

Imagine if lumbar fusion for spondylolytic spondylolisthesis in adults was no longer necessary, or at least extremely rare? Treating this pathology while there is maximum healing potential instead of using benign neglect may be the next paradigm shift in spine surgery.

I am committed to educating others on the intricacies of uniportal endoscopic spine surgery, aiming to establish it as the gold standard of care.

What motivates you to go to work in the morning? Messages like this one are the reason I jump out of bed every day: A post-operative incision and a recent message from a patient who underwent a two-level posterior cervical foraminotomy. She recovered remarkably quickly from the cervical surgery and was so pleased with the outcome that she elected to evaluate her low back and leg pain with an MRI. Results like this fuel my commitment to advocating for endoscopic spine procedures. #futureofspinesurgery #endoscopicspinesurgery #minimallyinvasivespinesurgery #leastinvasivespinesurgery #narcoticfreespinesurgery

@MIS_SpineExpert And yes, the transforaminal approach is basically an approach directly to the ventral canal ventral to the dura.

Patients often wonder how transforaminal endoscopic discectomy is performed. Here is a demonstration of the technique on a cadaver. It is intended for spine surgeons but I think the video is informative for everyone.

@MIS_SpineExpert I think you are spot on. Just because something is called minimally invasive doesn’t me it is or necessarily mean it is better. The fundamental goals of surgery, such as adequate decompression done safely, can never be compromised.

The incision size isn’t necessarily what determines if a spine surgery is minimally invasive or not, but it is a clue to the invasiveness of the procedure and how lightly one has tread. Here is the healed incision 3 months after two level posterior cervical endoscopic foraminotomies.

@MIS_SpineExpert @CampbellLiles @spinesection The trajectories which can be achieved with a uniportal endoscope are unmatched, the muscle injury the least possible, and all this with maximal preservation of the IAP. My endoscopic posterior cervical patients also do not require narcotics and return to activity ad lib.
