@MIS_SpineExpert I think you are spot on. Just because something is called minimally invasive doesn’t me it is or necessarily mean it is better. The fundamental goals of surgery, such as adequate decompression done safely, can never be compromised.

The incision size isn’t necessarily what determines if a spine surgery is minimally invasive or not, but it is a clue to the invasiveness of the procedure and how lightly one has tread. Here is the healed incision 3 months after two level posterior cervical endoscopic foraminotomies.

My endoscopic posterior cervical patients also do not require narcotics and return to activity ad lib.
