Unfortunately Sal has had a relapse of her Crohns, she is being medivacced to Darwin tomorrow for an MRI. She has been basically symptom & medicine free for 13 years since surgery that saved her life. (Osteomyelitis). A nervous few days until we find out the next steps.

My step Dad died last night, a wonderful man who met my mum when she was in her 50's & thought she would be single for the rest of her life. He was witty, urbane, clever and a loving partner. Vale Bob Matches. So happy we spent time with him in January.

In great news, Sal got a text from the beast care nurse last night to tell her all biopsies following her mammogram & ultrasound all came back benign.

Just got Sal's DNA results back, Low risk, so no chemo, I will set off about 5am tomorrow and drive to Darwin, she will fly over Saturday, radiation therapy starts Monday, we are there for 4 weeks. Once again, best result possible in the circumstances!! Bubbly tonite!

2021 has been a good year for us, Sal is healthy, Kai is finished school, working full time as a carpentry apprentice, my company continues to allow me to have the perfect life balance, we are sitting on the last day of the year on our lovely new yacht...

Sal's Mum just passed, she went back into hospital yesterday, Sal spoke to her last night, she didn't wake up this morning and passed away in her sleep just now. So she got her wish to stay at home as long as possible. Rest in peace , Mahni Dugan.

So boomer wife flew to D-Town for Bass on the Grass, zoomer son drove the track to get there. Boomer wife now has the plague, zoomer son got home 3am, announces he feels unwell too. I have fled the scene, went shopping, filled the tinny up & am on the yacht until plague clears.
