@Longevity_Now_ Uggh, not really. People with mental health disorders have deserved far more effective “longevity treatments” from science for awhile. It’s a long time coming

@RpsAgainstTrump What an interesting word. Groceries, a rare word, a unique word for sure. One that stands out but rarely used, great for table top conversation. So simple too, say it, let it roll of your tongue GROCERIES What a retard

@buttonslives They’re “mitochondrial disorders.” Stresses in critical times, marijuana, alcohol use disorder pathologies like dry drunk behavior, not getting needs met like poor sleep, abuses in unexpected times, bad diet affecting flat affect, repeated put-downs “Mitochondria” 🤗

@benzosarebad Correct…if treatments work, wouldn’t people be getting better. No, mental health issues in people are getting worse. Something like 6.9% of people are getting better, AD’s are given to people with Alzheimer’s, and they still have Alzheimer’s…

The language around this changes almost every 15 minutes. Ketogenic diets are powerful it seems to me in people specifically WITHOUT mental health disorders who want to prevent issues or could develop a MH disorder in the future….not for schizophrenia or extreme bipolar imo

Ketogenic Diet May Stabilize Mood in Young People with Bipolar A new multi-site pilot study will test whether a ketogenic diet, combined with standard mood-stabilizing medications, helps stabilize mood symptoms in adolescents and young adults with bipolar disorder. The 16-week trial will involve 40 participants aged 12-21, who will follow a ketogenic diet while their mood, anxiety, psychosis, and metabolic markers are monitored. Previous studies in adults have suggested the diet may improve mood and executive function, but this is the first trial focusing on younger individuals. Researchers will assess whether participants can adhere to the diet and whether it produces measurable benefits. Participants will receive support from dietitians, psychiatrists, and psychologists, and their food will be provided at no cost. If successful, the findings could pave the way for larger studies comparing ketogenic therapy to other dietary interventions, such as the Mediterranean diet.

@zanjabilly So water fast, ketogenic diet, fast with supplements list, daily excercise while everyone waits for better treatments. The body can heal even if it doesn’t seem like it

@chrisaikenmd Cannabis can create psychosis in those with no MH history. If someone is dealing with drug induced bipolar disorder like BP depression, withdrawel pathologies, isolation. Cannabis, stress, abuses, longing, feelings of loss absolutely can create schizophrenia where there wasn’t any

@PGtzsche1 Yuk…just so sad and infuriating. So many ppl desparate for better answers from the mental health field only to be turned away with nothing to offer. Literally millions of people deserve a whole lot better, and there doesn’t seem to be an immediate urgency to roll out treatments

@bhanlon15 People, especially on social media present as having serious cognitive issues. People in real life are a lot more lively and able to adapt and respond to situations properly. 77 million people though did vote for a president with narcissism inflammation which mimics Alzheimer’s

@NTFabiano Crucial for serious mental illness. When the brain is in “off mode” Excersise will turn it on. Pills don’t treat issues. Excercise gets all these “eye rolls” from people because it seems like one is dopamine searching, but it’s actually the only real treatment for SMI

@chrisaikenmd And that’s a shame because so many people are dependent on better answers. So many people would like to move forward in life and can’t. A profound shame

@NeuroscienceNew So by all means don’t develop effective treatments that replicate this or if you do develop them please keep them stalled in clinical trials for as long as possible

@justin_garson I agree psychiatry does not have the answers, but when people acquire these issues they do everything to figure out what went wrong and why and naturally seek out psychiatry. I agree it is an industry currently with NO effective treatments

@iam_emilyanne Give people hope, but also be realistic. Schizophrenia, at least the schizophrenia I know is a pretty treatment resistant issue. Treatments work, but they don’t last and remission is on a wide ranging scale. If diet works, great but diet doesn’t work for other people and so on

@MeetJess Ya think…look around you, is any of what the world is going through normal, the way people especially on this platform talk. The inflammatory rude ways people talk to each other..the cognitive babytalk problems. @POTUS and his behaviors. Is any of it sane rational and normal? No
