@OfficialPDC
The context makes it even more outstanding. Brooks had come back from 0-2 down to win the previous set, and did the same to force a decider in the decider. Then this.
Probably one of the best legs of darts at the Ally Pally ever IMO.
@0_politics2
If the BBC probably thought Brandon Tatum was some regular black guy who'd tell them what they wanted to hear. They clearly haven't been watching his YT channel.
It's a shame he will probably not be invited on again, we need more voices like his.

I couldn't understand why, after getting a gentle bunt on the bonce, this girl was clutching her chest and hyperventilating. I did wonder if she was related to Neymar.
The entire scene, and the conduct of Kato's opponents, was pathetic.
Hopefully the folks at

We were the better team. The coach got it just right, and some poor errors cost us in the end. These teams are evenly balanced though, and we can definitely score over there. No away goals rule to worry about either.

Anybody can miss one chance, and he has admitted that he blew it. But change the tactics and that one chance becomes three or four. Now if this happened and he had fluffed four equally decent opportunities, criticism would be fair.
Time to forget. Flick is coach now.
Happy 70th birthday to the legend that is Paul Breitner. One of my childhood footballing heroes. Herzlichen Glückwunsch! 🎉

Yeah, he missed that opportunity. Every player can miss o e shot. But the fact is that he only had this one shot and the entire team not much more than that. With a different team tactic he might have had more than just the one chance. That's the point being made.
@Rohit_Das11
There were a number of factors. The Havertz love affair, sure. Can starting. The referee. Then Füllkrug missing a chance at the death that he'd bury on any other day.
It's cholera v plague v ebola now, but yes... We would've won this tournament with that little bit of luck.
The mixed ski jumping should have been a great event premiere, but the judges have turned it into a farce. Just restart the whole thing or overturn the decisions that have ruined the contest completely.

Before banging tin drums calling this official's execution, we need to at least give him a fair trial. Was it a racial slur as some have suggested, or a lazy attempt at identification? What was said exactly? Nobody knows, yet Twitter has turned into a cesspool of outrage.
@iMiaSanMia
He should stop now. There was a decent number 9, who never got a start. But I remember the days when we had a pick of good strikers. Yes, the defence is iffy. A return to German values is essential, and it needs to start in the academies. Forget Pep tactics, we are not Spain.

Point two. What a load of complete and utter BS. I have always believed that if a team is not good enough to qualify, they shouldn't be there.
Even Bayern.

Made it look easy, by having the intelligence, spatial awareness and sharp finishing ability. One of the best since the Gerd Müller.
As for it being easy, just ask Timo Werner.

The French actually had a referendum on Lisbon, and 55% voted against. While being polite enough to ask, they ignored the people and signed up. Brown meanwhile was not even polite enough to ask.
@LynchCoach
He tried the same thing with the first conversion too bit was a good deal short. For this second one Ramos delayed his approach which allowed for the fast sprint and the block.
@dw_sports
I am completely with him on this. There is the rivalry with the likes of Real and Barca, sure, but there is a frisson when playing the state-funded moneybags.
@40PercentGerman
Given my proclivity for turning the large single duvet into a personal cocoon, the other half immediately saw the value in doing things the German way. We have been doing the separate duvet thing for years now.
I have to say that the players one might describe as the journeymen have added a backbone to this German team. Mittelstädt, Andrich, Füllkrug, Führich. All work their socks off. Mittelstädt in particular has been a revelation.

Cruyff was great, but the praise is disproportionate. The media love his rebellious "rock star" character, which means he is put on a pedestal. We see that turn against Sweden, a move that ended nowhere. Meanwhile Gerd Müller's moment was a trademark finish to win a World Cup.
This is the sort of player we don't want at Bayern. The club helped him through his many long spells off the pitch, and even supported him during his messy domestic abuse court case - and this is how he repays us. Jog on, you grubby mercenary - you'll fit right in at PSG.
Bayern and PSG have reached a verbal agreement for Lucas Hernández, pending a medical check. The Frenchman will play for PSG next season. Official announcement in the next few days [

It's a gentle play on European stereotypes. From over 30 years ago, when we we all were able to laugh at each other and ourselves. Those who thought that such things were lame would naturally harrumph, but, like the rest of us, move on.

I have collected the Nationaltrikot since 1988. This will end of this monstrosity is released. These wacky colours are fine for club third kits. Not a national team.

will have a full crowd at the Allianz against Augsburg, just over two years after the last time this happened, also against Augsburg. I was there for that one, the club's 120th anniversary. With all of the celebrations, who knew what would be just around the corner?
I have never been a fan of personnel changes at this point in the season, but Tuchel has to go. I can't stand this anymore, and it feels like that Villarreal all over again. Lazio are nothing special, but have made us look like a bunch of toothless amateurs.

This is doubly hilarious because of the context. Neuer was not caught out when it was 0-0. It was when he was trying to chase an impossible miracle. De Gea was beaten by two pens that went straight down the middle.
@BavarianFBWorks
Yep. They clearly slipped that under the radar. First the kits going to some US maker, and a partnership with Chinese data scalpers. Marvellous.
@fiago7
"Add-eee-dus" really irks me. As does the American pronunciation of Antifa as "An-tee-fah", which the British have started to copy. I can let Puma go, as it's a name of a real animal that exists in the English language. But "Piumer"? That's a crime against every language.
@ManuelVeth
They'll just remortgage the Bernabéu again. Bunch of shysters. Alaba was a legend at Bayern, and nothing can take his achievements on the pitch away. But this leaves a bad taste in the mouth: he and Real deserve each other. No CL for either, if justice is served.
@BavarianFBWorks
I don't care about it being good for the league. Though not winning it could be good for Bayern. We could see a genuine overhaul, as opposed to a papering over of the serious cracks.
Interesting that two big games have been altered by two of the most dreadful referees on the planet, clowns who should have been nowhere near this tournament.

Two years after their earliest World Cup exit since 1938. Löw could have retired as the greatest German coach ever, but has set two of the worst stats on almost a century.
Today is not the end of an era. It is not a fin de siècle. There is no need to beat ourselves up, turn on each other or navel-gaze. It is a blip, like a healthy person the morning after a night on the sauce having eaten some rotten kimchi. Take it on the chin. Move on.

True. But even these four were not a patch on these guys. Prime Deutschland for me. Then there was also Buchwald, Auge, Icke... I could go on. What a team that was.
@Okwonga
Playing the role of an actual character rooted in tradition is not blackface. Blackface is an American concept, devised to mock and humiliate, while St. Balthazar is a well-meant celebration. Intelligent people should be able to see the difference.
Croatia is everything that Germany used to be. Solid, well-managed defence. Oldies that drive the team rather than compromise it. A battery of big centre-forwards. Then, more crucially, bags of never-say-die attitude and spirit. I hope the
