The average Hezbo mind doesn’t get it that Christians want nothing to do with this war. This war isn’t ours to fight, and we made it clear from the start. Firing rockets near Christian residential buildings isn’t going to change the fact that you’re trespassing.

In the early days of the war, Palestinian fidayeen supporters sprayed on the walls of Beirut: "لا ماروني بعد اليوم," meaning "No more Maronites starting today." Later, they began replacing the word "Maronites" with "Kataeb." The war dynamic was clear as ice.

Kataeb was never fascist, but let's assume it was. So-called secularists will spend all day telling you not to condemn Hamas (a splinter of the Muslim Brotherhood). But when it comes to Christians getting massacred they insist on categorizing them under a fake fascist umbrella.

I think this is a form of self-denial: instead of confronting the real challenges of their situation—bombardments, displacement, and the destruction of their homes—some are turning to an illusion. This behavior only deepens their entrapment in the cycle of suffering.
