I left my Ipad on the plane today. Has everything on it, I mean everything. Tried calling to no avail. Drove back to the airport and admitted my stupidity. The lady at

couldn’t have been nicer. 10 mins later got it back 🙏🙏 Now I need to do something nice.
Most will miss the voice, I'll miss the man. One of things he always told me in sports broadcasting is you have to "put the spaces in the right places." It won't be a space he leaves but a void. R.I.P.

They say you wake up and its a new day. But I've been stuck on the runway for 2 hrs waiting to to go back to my native NZ. It's given me a chance to read a lot really nice things. But I'm not going away, just going to annoy you from a different place. Have a great Christmas. Xx
That believe it or not that is the grandstand behind the first tee. Imagine the frenzy on the opening tee shots. Plus Le Golf National will be the course for the Olympics in 2224

The 3 at 18 on the first playoff hole was clutch. I’ve seen him put the work in…this was more than earned.

Steve a few friends if mine told me you were taking potshots. With a name like Czaban your parents or graparents presumably were "just accents" at one stage. The mechanics of Golf TV are different to radio. But i don't want to insult your intelligence as you do ours.
Reading through the distance report. It's ironic that this week they are in Mexico at 7,500ft elevation. Those that travel to the Honda next week will have the equivalent of a 10-15% rollback and there won't a single complaint. No problem adjusting. Just throwing it out there.
Week off this week. So a chance to shout out and thank the CBS crew for a fun 10 week run. They have worrked their tails off to bring a lot of great tournaments to your screen. 👍🏼
Twitterverse thanks for the support. Back home looking forward to this week. Never in my lifetime did I think a Major would be fanless. Thought ESPN did great and a special shout out to the CBS crew who have worked so hard since Golf came back to get it on your screens.

Steady mate. He had mono at the start of the year, a bad tee shot away from one if the best comebacks in Masters history. 1 round away from back to back Open Championships. Getting married....maybe man not machine.
@chambleebrandel
@FrankNobiloGC
wow Jordan is in a bad pace, is it possible that a new swing coach and putting coach is due, what ever is going on this year is not working
@Master_of_Traj
I guess you have never played and experienced what

went through. He didn’t complain, dusted himself off so 72 is worth a mention.
Thought long and hard about playing the Masters again this year and in the future, but it’s time for me to watch the young guys play.
So I’m going to sit back and enjoy the memories that Augusta has given me over the years, thank you for everything Augusta🏌️♂️
Michael Hendry missed The 151st Open following a diagnosis of leukaemia.
Here is what it means for him to be playing at Royal Troon.
This is a story bigger than golf.
So sad to hear Mark Carnevale left us today. I closed a few bars with Carny. He talked a lot about his dad, Ben, basketball coach at North Carolina, then the Naval Academy. Served in WW2, Purple Heart. Also won a national title at NYU. Ben's boy was a good man. RIP, mate
It was worth getting up early. Special thank you to
@Target
for opening their doors early today to facilitate the shopping. 230 volunteers showed up to chaperone the kids. Amazing.
Our 2 cents: we really need to get back to full-field signature events. Long days on Thurs/Fri, wave splits, guys battling to make the cut, Chad Ramey FRLs... are all part of what make golf unique. Sterilizing fields to 70 players just removes so much and adds almost nothing.

Gary you put your heart and soul into this article. Thank you for allowing me to see through your eyes what transpired over the weekend.

82nd win. He started his week with with 3 consecutive bogeys. That was the 800th time since shotlink started (2003) that a player started with 3 consecutive over par holes and he is the first to win with that start.

I'm probably in the minority but I don't...golf was never meant to be a game of perfect. We move tees, cut new holes everyday. Every shot is different, I thought that's what made golf great. But I also think you should take the flag out on the green (or attended)JMO
People on social media are entitled to their opinions. But you are in the print business. You have ample time to fact check your article. I covered the 10th hole and
@TrevorImmelman
was with the group and detailed the tee shot. Will you treat your writer with the same contempt?
This is my piece on my Grandfather who survived 5 years in concentration camp and spent the rest of his life giving others the love, compassion and freedom he’d been denied. He was my hero, and he still is:

It is fine for a bat and ball sport to evolve but we became the F1 of bat and ball sports, most of that since the mid 90’s. Utility clubs and wedges have been very beneficial for all. But the distance thru equipment got out of control. Giving a bit back is still a nett gain.
Shout out to our

camera crew, microphone operators etc. To be out in those wet cold conditions and giving you at home the best pictures and sound was some effort. Proud of them.
Back to work tomorrow on
@CBSSports
. Tiger still only missed 28 cuts as a professional. Bryson was more Dudley Moore than Bo Derek with a 10 at 15. Ryan Palmer made 9 at 16 in the first round last week and now is -9 and tied for the lead. I could go on but its business as usual.
A little less reverential across the pond. The freedom of no filter. I don't think the R and A would ever let him call The Open but you would be glued to the TV.
We wanted to give you an update on the 2020 golf tournament and Christmas shopping for the kids. Please watch and we both appreciate you continued support. Cheers.
Early start this morning. Doors opened

Lefty definitely getting it right here. Well worth the listen as Phil doesn't make it complicated. His short game secrets would be an instant best seller.

Scott Harrington put his dreams of a Tour card on hold last year to care for his cancer-stricken wife. A year later she’s in remission and he’s headed to the Tour, at age 38. “I knew this was gonna to be the year.”
Was reading about Thanksgiving. Originally they ate waterfowl, venison, ham, lobster, clams, berries, fruit, pumpkin, and squash. Seems a bit tastier than Turkey!

Pretty amazing that the G-Mac story was ignored all day, then try to explain it literally while the ball is rolling into the hole. The storyline was on a platter for you! Maddening.

Always a great week when you a) see the development of the various regions with their respective golf programs and b) spot a few players that you know will soon be on golf’s biggest stage. The young players of today are better equipped than ever to make that next jump.

Before everybody goes crazy over the

due to the proposed "reducing max driver length to 46 inches". How many players male or female actually use a driver that is longer? Re the argument for the very tall player, will the other 13 clubs be too short as well?
One of the advantages of getting lost in various towns/cities is you get to find new places every year. I never even knew there was a
@McAlistersDeli
in Augusta. Might be a sign, maybe a week where a few players who have been quiet this year find their game.
If you want to improve your game look at this graph of the best players in the game. After looking and digesting it I promise you that you will make better decisions relative to your handicap..
Helpful chart that provides context on how many shots it takes to get in the hole.
For example:
It takes fewer average strokes to hole a 65 foot putt than it does to hole a 24 foot (8 yard) chip/pitch from the rough.
