Tough nowadays to hit a consistent 5-10 yard draw with the way equipment is. Easier to hit a reliable fade. (Well a fade has always been considered the reliable of 2 shots.) But equipment is one of the reasons you see more guys hitting a fade today. Equipment spins less today.
Have you noticed how many Pro’s fade the driver? This is somewhat of a faders course, but in general this is a common shape off the tee. Why is that? How do they keep the spin, launch and land angle down 🤷🏻♂️ Interesting. Let me know your thoughts….

Was told by a top teacher today that this may be the toughest US Open course he’s ever seen. Men or women. He described shots like this, false fronts, FWs hardly ever with a flat lie, greens with lots of slope. I’ve enjoyed watching the women play this week. Great Final Rd ahead.
