i’ve treated my boss like a buddy since day one, despite him being a successful guy with a family. now we have such a strong homie/boss/mentor relationship that no other employee really understands. when you approach successful people with confidence and authenticity, they notice and connect with you. most people treat them like they’re from another planet
stop talking to the people you aspire to be like as if you don’t deserve to breathe their air they are human, just like you they may be an accomplished human, but they are human nonetheless no one likes a suck up and no one becomes friends with a fan
