On the 3rd and 3 which was arguably the play of the game, it looks like Tua checked to the screen to Reek. He goes out to Berrios and Reek and clearly says something. It’s truly awesome to see how Tua has grown under Mike McDaniel.
Jaelan Phillips in the last 4 games:
26 tackles
5 sacks
1 interception
Not to mention he’s been absolutely dominant in the run game. He isn’t being talked about enough IMO.
Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips have combined for 10 sacks in the last 5 games. They are on their way to be the first Dolphins duo since 2003 to have 10 or more sacks in the same season when Jason Taylor and Adewale Ogunleye did it.
I absolutely love Drew’s Brees breaking down Tua’s no look pass. He used to be awesome at manipulating defenders like this. You can really tell how much he likes Tua’s game.
It’s remarkable how basically every game Tua’s had a deep ball thrown in stride. The narrative that he couldn’t throw it deep was always wrong, but he’s taken a legitimate leap in this aspect. It was an important step for him, especially when you look at how the offense is built.
Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard in 4 games together:
Ramsey: 9 tackles, 2 interceptions
Howard: 11 tackles, 4 passes defended
They have allowed just 139 yards on 36 targets against high caliber guys like Davante Adams, Garrett Wilson, and Terry McLaurin.
The fact that Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle can’t get a single call, but Isaiah McKenzie does is a flat out joke. Refs determine games every week and it’s simply pathetic. As I said earlier today, something has to change, it’s a shame this team suffered from it.
The Patriots didn’t allow a 300 yard passer through the first 7 weeks of the season. They faced quarterbacks like Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, and Dak Prescott.
Tua Tagovailoa had 324 and it was his first game with over 300 against them.
The Dolphins had 4 backup offensive lineman starting, Jaylen Waddle/Raheem Mostert missing a good part of the game, Jaelan Phillips, Jevon Holland, and Jerome Baker all out on defense.
What a damn win.
Tua to Waddle and Hill after the final touchdown: “Both of y’all, a hundred piece, damn.” 😂😂😂
This was the first game Waddle and Hill both had 100+ yards in the same game since Christmas last season against the Packers.
Zach Sieler flat out bullying the best offensive lineman in the game. You rarely see anyone do this to Trent Williams. Sieler will forever be underrated.
Miami’s roster is absolutely loaded. I’ve never seen a Dolphins team so deep. S, CB, LB, Edge, DL, WR, TE, and OL all have great depth and a lot of good players. I honestly can’t find a position that is lacking depth on this roster...
The Dolphins have positioned themselves nicely heading into the draft.
- Replaced Xavien Howard with Kendall Fuller
- Replaced DeShon Elliott with Jordan Poyer
- Replaced Jerome Baker with Jordyn Brooks
- Replaced Andrew Van Ginkel with Shaq Barrett
- Replaced Raekwon Davis with
Terron Armstead on Cam Jordan’s podcast after the DEN game:
“We instantly switched and the focus went to Buffalo. I love that, from a young head coach Mike McDaniel, he’s locked in, he’s on a mission, so the attention quickly turned to next week. We didn’t have victory Monday.”
Jaylen Waddle, Raheem Mostert, and 3 starting offensive lineman all out against the NFL’s number 1 defense on the road. This is going to be an extremely tough game. Tua/McDaniel are going to have to elevate this offense and mask the deficiencies that have been caused by injury.
The Dolphins traded pick 29 for Tyreek Hill. The Patriots used pick 29 on Cole Strange. If that doesn’t tell you the direction each organization is going moving forward, I don’t know what does…
Here is every rep of the Terron Armstead and Myles Garrett battle. This is about as good as it gets folks. For my money, Garrett is the best edge in the NFL. The fact Armstead was able to contain him truly shows why he’s such a special player. What an add he’s been for Miami.
Christian Wilkins got $27.5M per year on his new contract with the Raiders. The Dolphins got these 6 players for close to what Wilkins got annually.
Jordyn Brooks: $8.75M
Kendall Fuller: $8.25M
Aaron Brewer: $7M
Jonnu Smith: $4.2M
Jordan Poyer: $2M
Shaq Barrett: Max of $9M
This is the play where Raheem Mostert was yelling at Liam Eichenberg after he got tackled. If Eichenberg blocks that DB this could’ve been a massive gain.
For those wondering about Jaylen Waddle’s potential as a top receiving option…
Here is what he did in the one game Tyreek Hill missed last season
8 receptions (9 targets)
142 yards
1 TD
Terron Armstead is about as elite as it gets. He was clearly not 100% in this game and was still dominant. He is the definition of a technician and wins in so many different ways. This was a phenomenal pickup in multiple different aspects for Chris Grier.
Chris Grier/Mike McDaniel saw Austin Jackson do this on the final drive of a blowout and said, yeah I can’t let this guy out of my building.
What a talent.
Tua had over 330 yards and 3 touchdowns against a Bill Belichick led defense without 4 of his 5 starting offensive lineman. He wasn’t even as sharp as he usually is, but it simply didn’t matter. QB1 is having a special season.
Xavien Howard in 8 seasons with the Dolphins:
- 100 games
- 29 interceptions (Most in the NFL since 2017)
- 95 passes defended
- 331 tackles
- 4 forced fumbles
- 4 touchdowns
- 2x All-Pro
- 4x Pro-Bowler
Thank you for everything X❗️
Christian Wilkins is on a completely different level this year. He just destroys running games every week. This was the best performance of his career. 10 run stops in a game is simply insane. He isn’t being talked about enough.
Armstead talking about Tua on Cam Jordan’s podcast:
“Tua reminds me of Drew from his perspective, the way he sees the field. His pocket presence, his anticipation, tight window throws, accuracy, I promise I’m putting it in the realm of Drew Brees. I see a lot of similarities.”
This is the best collection of skill guys Tua has had in his NFL career, and it isn’t particularly close.

Tyreek Hill
Jaylen Waddle
Odell Beckham Jr.
Malik Washington

Jaelan Phillips is the best edge rusher on this team imo. This isn’t a knock on Bradley Chubb. He is a good player and has been a nice pickup for this defense, but Phillips is a different kind of athlete. He gets to the QB more and is starting to finish more plays. Absolute stud.
The
#Dolphins
are signing two more veteran pass rushers: Bruce Irvin to the active roster and Malik Reed to the practice squad, per sources.
So after a crazy run of injuries, Miami adds Justin Houston, Irvin and Reed days before a wild-card playoff game at Kansas City.
The Bills are now 5-5 and still have to play the Eagles/Chiefs on the road. The Dolphins are 6-3 and have already played both of them.
This is the most open the AFC East has been in a long time…
The Dolphins have internally discussed Lavonte David, Denzel Perryman, and Bobby Wager as well as several other inside linebackers, per Barry Jackson. Barry expects Miami to reach out to several of them.

The Dolphins have added:
Jordyn Brooks
Kendall Fuller
Shaq Barrett
Aaron Brewer
Jonnu Smith

All of these guys are making around what Christian Wilkins got per year in total.
Durham Smythe played arguably his best game of the season last week against the Jets, and today he had 5 catches for 56 yards which is the 2nd most yards he’s ever had in a game. Really nice to see this production from him as he does a lot of the things that go unnoticed.
This is an awesome job by Xavien Howard on Terry Mclaurin. Really good to see him run with a receiver that has dangerous speed. It’s a great sign and shows he’s healthy.
Aaron Brewer anchoring against Christian Wilkins, then handling Zach Sieler with one arm on the stunt. Really looking forward to seeing how he grows in pass pro in a scheme that will definitely help elevate his game. Look at what Sieler does the the LG on the first clip👀
