Told a coworker I was taking a break. “Like a sabbatical?” “Like an indefinite sabbatical.” His eyes got wide and he broke into a wide grin. “I’m so excited for you.” He said the longest break he’s ever had was 3 months in over a decade. I realized my longest break was 2 weeks.

I got a remote job offer that’s $20k more than my current salary and a few levels of a promotion, but I’d have to leave The Netherlands in 2 months if I take it. I’m pretty sure I’m not going to take it but it’s tempting…

I'm heading to another National Park tomorrow. A review online has this to say: "I was a hot sweaty mess with intense humidity, sticky from the sun cream and covered head to toe in bug spray. And no functioning shower to wash with. Yet somehow it was the best feeling." 🤔😂

I started going to therapy during the pandemic and it was all online… then I moved to Amsterdam, so I’ve never met her. Turns out we’re both in Bali at the same time, so I’m going to meet her in person for the first time tomorrow!

Checked off two expat-to-dos today: 1. Went to the doctor 2. Mailed a package Both 1000% easier than in the states. Walked in and out with no copay/insurance/any bill at all at the doctor’s. Entered the package details in an app which got scanned at a drop off point. Nailed it!

UGH I’m so indecisive… I’m in a gorgeous place for diving, but if I get certified here it costs $100 more than in Kho Tao. I plan to go there next. It’s not a huuuge price difference but I’m tempted to do the certification here (Kho Lipe) instead
