This isn't the sort of outfit he wore to Mass. Bl. Carlo Acutis wore a suit and tie. Bl. Chiara Badano would've dressed something closer to her funeral dress rather than the jeans we'd see her in. And the lack of sacred motifs like the halo diminishes the sense of the sacred.
I don’t like this statue. But when I think of why I can't come up with a compelling reason. Is it because he's wearing modern clothes, well that's not very good. Is it because unlike most religious statues he doesn't appear to be praying? ... Is it because ... well, go on. You tell me why. Or why I'm wrong not to like it.

Been putting effort into my getup since the lockdowns, and have recently been working to upgrade especially when going to Mass. It just sets your mindset for the day right for your goals.
Unpopular Opinion: Females need to put effort into their appearance, even for a trip to Walmart I hate anti decorum propaganda on social media. I’m sick of seeing girls in pajamas/hoodies & grown men rocking Jordans & baseball caps 🧢 Everyone looks like a slob But when inexperienced ppl DO try to dress up, it leads to overdone looks like “cakeface” in the OP Bottom line: My woman is my representative - if she doesn’t have pride in her appearance. She doesn’t respect me… Just how I need to stay well groomed

@leonardaisfunE It also goes for a big portion of people in majority non-white countries, particularly Third World ones. From my experience in uni, it's believed that bad traits and habits are attributed to "colonial" experience. Meanwhile all the "colonial" heritage can't be maintained right
