I wanted to carry concealed prior to Constitutional Carry, so I performed my civic duty and got it a few years back. You’re right, we shouldn’t need a permission slip beyond the Constitution, but taking the class, paying the fee was such a small thing to ensure my, my family’s and my community’s safety that I didn’t mind too terribly. I don’t know about other states, but here, if you have your CC, you skip the background check for pewpew purchases. Thankfully, our Governor and Legislature passed Constitutional Carry.
