When reading warrior cats for the first time, my father fell out of a tree and became paralyzed from the waist down. Seeing a warrior cat suffering from a similar ailment as my dad and living happily brought a much needed peace to me. So fuck off with "Briarlight lived too long."

Warrior Cats is children's literature for many reasons, but one reason is for characters like Briarlight. This isn't dark fiction: the books are meant to have a happy ending; a message to the kids reading. Being able to be happy after experiencing traumatic injuries is crucial.

I've been here since 2013 and there are quite literally too many projects to do this change to.
The quickest solution is just to extend the acronym, like "MAProject." Like "hey, I'm a MAProject host/here's my MAProject part!"

It's really hard for average fans to get invested in projects now and it really sucks :(. I feel like the fandom keeps putting specific creators on pedestals, only really care about their stuff, then things crumble when the creator is (shocker) not the best person

Can we start holding larger creators accountable for sending their followers after smaller creators for petty reasons? Personal disputes, tracing, etc.
I've seen this happen with creators and nobody calls it out until the creator gets called out for worse behavior.

I'd also like to add that this isn't the first time this content creator has done this. Earlier this year they tweeted about a young wc map host who made a map with HH Poison song. Not only did he not talk to the kid about the concerns, he straight up spread misinformation.

Especially for Briarlight: so much of her character was based on a person with a similar disability. There was a thought to kill Briarlight, and Vicky chose not to /because/ of what she'd mean to kids with disabilities. It's been clear for years "realism" isn't the point here

I think ultimately it's not the lack of animators, but lack of viewership which has been causing some of the overall decline.
In terms of projects, I think it'd be a huge boost to get super old projects completed: ones people grew up on. (Ex. My Eyes being rehosted)

Not even just collaborating on parts: what about heading projects where people pitch on different parts of the work, and do as much as they want to contribute to the project?

Been caring for a stray cat that showed up on our porch a couple of months ago pretty badly injured. Happy to say Darkstripe "Fred" is now happily healed and can provide a reference or two for Warrior Cat artists when it comes to cat scars! Silly lad

The project came out days after the song's release, which was /not/ when the show came out. The project was promptly canceled after the host watched the show.
I'm mentioning this because this tweet during the situation IMO shows a constant pattern that hasn't been resolved.

As an old head, I gotta agree with you to an extent, and then disagree to an extent.
It absolutely should not be the norm, but so long as there are guidelines and the map is low stakes, silly 1-2 week maps can be incredibly fun, especially for anything/multi fandom projects.

I love hosting my beginner-friendly MAPs so much: they're all so full of so much talent and that's actually how I've met so many of my friends and mutuals! I can name about 30 people who have become frequent participants in my MAPs just from one B-F project

I've heard from so many beginners about how they don't get accepted into projects, some of them 100% being as good as other participants. I tried to fight for hosts to do beginner friendly maps 2 years ago, and I got vagued/shat on pretty bad... Hopefully things change
