“It was a moment of unutterable beauty.” @mrjamesob ‘defies you to watch without tearing up’ the moment when son of Democrat Vice-Presidential candidate Tim Walz ‘overflowed with love’ during his father’s speech.

Silver in the pool, gold on land. Being a hands-on dad is the most important job any father will have. Well done @adam_peaty! #Olympics2024Paris

We need more investment in victim support, but also in evidence-based #domesticabuse perpetrator programmes, to tackle the rise in violence against women and girls, highlighted by the @PoliceChiefs new report. We know of at least one English LA that refuses to even engage with perpetrator fathers; others have no access to programmes to deal with them. There’s clear evidence about the negative impacts for children of experiencing and/or witnessing domestic abuse – and the motivational potential of therapeutic, trauma-informed interventions that address men’s fatherhood head-on. We’re working with @FoundationsWW @B_I_Team @stmfellows to bring a well-evidenced, therapeutic programme, Fathers for Change, to the UK. But there's so much more work to do, to plug this national gap in services.

Georgie Codd's book 'Never Had a Dad', published by @HarperCollinsUK, is an unexpected story of the strange, intimate things we mean when we talk about family. Our interview, together with a whole host of other inspiring fatherhood content, is available exclusively to our supporters. By becoming an FI supporter, you help us drive forward our policy work, which is crucial for disseminating our research, raising awareness, and gathering public momentum to provoke political change.

The current PM, @RishiSunak, said the hardest thing about the job was missing out on family life. @Keir_Starmer has said he wants to protect one evening a week to be an involved #father. This should not be controversial - it's what all men should be doing!
