You know it's wet when.. apparently buried rock pile back end dropped in an instant. Tried to pull with old versatile just dropped front more now waiting for the track unit to show up.. is it 2025 yet?
One more field of wheat than she's all done then onto canola and beans after. Long slow harvest this year but I'll take it for what's coming in the hopper.
they talked about 94 well its been achieved. Never thought I'd ever have peas with that kind of yield sure makes it fun even if their flat and a pain to harvest.
Finished up the wheat for the year! One for the record books, now off to some canola after the rain delay. little fixing to do on headers and combines as well.
Finished wheat today. Oats next week and canola won't be far behind, it will get a drink tomorrow. Little fixing to do on the 590, sure is nice having 2 big machines to hammer acres off in a hurry.
Well this should make finishing seeding interesting was about 100ac into the 180ac field of canola we were planting everything was just drying up going around a few pothole but was getting in now I'm not sure how it's all going to play out I can see a spreader followed by harrows
@Plantmore1
Had a really good guy has left me before but great when he's around.. left me again this summer.. got a 20 year old and 50 year old. Funny the differences 20 year old always late or misses 50 year old always 30min early and says when he will be around and won't be..
Well new things means learning experiences. First time I've plugged a combine since I was in school ol 7720 in Timothy. I can see why guys love these machines and also why they could hate them. Still happy with my purchase when she goes it covers ground in a hurry.
Got a health notification from
@farmers_edge
today I thought sports on field were drought imagery seemed off to that went did some looking and found cutworms. Both dad and I said we would have wrote it off as drought damage but thanks to the imagery it saved us from more damage.
Wow not going to be much left out there.. is it even worth going out to spray and make ruts everywhere? More rain on the way today and the chance of a tornado!
Laying down some miravis neo and Delaro on the peas this morning. If they look this good and still flowering in couple weeks guess they should get a 2nd shot.

Into some soybeans today get some acres taken off before another rain shot though the last one I think brought these up to proper moisture almost already getting to dry..

Well back at it in our other barn plan to do 2 small flocks through here. Those 2 won't even equal 1 normal flock. Not sure if I'll ever get used to looking at the empty spot where the barn used to stand. Hoping for bigger and better in 24 if all goes well
Well was a cloudy high humidity morning yesterday so said screw it and went for a ride quick 600kms later lots of crop still out there and some green stuff too.. hopefully everyone gets it all off before winter hits!
No pictures or videos, but dad finished up the last field last night. 100% complete a lot less stress and a nice long stretch to get it done have got a little rain. Let in crop start and hope we get timely rains for the crops and have a great year.
Exciting day here I bought a new bike last year and told the wife only way it works if you get your license and ride your own so the kids can come along. Well she sure seems to be doing great on her first ride! Many smiles and loved every minute of it.
So when does dad start listening to you.. tells you to make desicion than when it's 18.5 wheat in October it isn't dry enough for him wants 16.5 look at forecast its good.. take some off at 17.5 than it rains and lose another day it's October dad not Aug or Sept let's get it off!
This canola growing is for the birds man.. thought buteo was the answer maybe a bit as I still have plants but they sure are having a hard time getting going though the excess rain hasn't helped eithe, seeded may 27th
Finally able to spray these peas without making massive ruts everywhere! Hopefully what's here turns out great.. little late on the spraying but what can ya do on a year like this..
Thinking maybe of getting a new set of super Bs either slightly used or new what's the must haves the nice to have and what brands to go with or stay away from?

If all goes well this will be the last day of
#harvest21
what a year it always could be worse. Here's to next year do it all again hoping for those timely rains to grow the best crop ever.
Well the walls for the new barn started going up yesterday! To bad we are getting hammered with rain otherwise it would have all been up by next weekend..

I have a great relationship with my local retail I also understand He doesn't want to work 24/7 I stay in contact and plan ahead you know when you will need fert or Chem don't come in at 10 expecting stuff when you didn't contact earlier you'd be coming late.
@bl_ag_inc
Yup to all of it. I say thanks to my wife all the time for everything she does and keeping the house kept up while doing her own stuff. It's not an easy task and you don't realize it until you do it for an extended period of time.
Reseed oats look alot better this time spraying them and this time it's not to kill them! Next week will be tough on everything rain would nice anytime.
Well we got the wheat off some a bit wetter some a bit dryer but it's in the bin now.. got some help from a good friend to help hammer it off before the weather hit. about a half section of canola left once this snow that we are getting dissappears it can come off.
@rcmpmb
Time for the government to get rid of all those stop lights and make it safe on the perimeter and have it a steady 100 all the way around the city! Try driving a semi around oak bluff it's a real pain hitting all those lights.
Back in the Pete today. Have a little partner to keep me company today he sure loves truck, tractors, combines all and any of it I think farming runs in his blood we shall see as the years go by.
Well did a thing last week and ended up with a new bike.. sure is nice to be back after a 4 year hiatus couldn't wipe the smile off my face put on 3000kms in a few days worth every penny to be back on the bike with dad riding beside me.
@Deere_Salesman
Giving it a wash is apart of the green light package here.. unless you don't want it you get charged for it.. not sure why it's a big deal my combine went from field ro shop hard to clean it when that happens
Wheat finally dried enough to get going.. much prefer August wheat harvest than last September October and the other 500ac will all be October... dryer would sure be helpful this fall..
Little confused what's going on here. 0 till was quite moist when we were seeding. Didn't notice it at all when it was coming up haven't been here for a bit and noticed it when I came to spray. 2 track tractor. Did it compact from the moisture and cause these streaks?
