I have the opportunity to farm, because when my dad was 3 years old he was at the neighbors playing & when he went home his parents changed the lock & his key didn't work. So walked until he found someone that would take him in. Which was an older couple with no kids that farmed
I guess dad thought we needed a bigger pipe wrench. Why we need a 36" pipe wrench, but if he wants to spend his money on tools for the shop that's fine.
Not what I am wanting to do, but it's what I am doing. Parking the tractor and planter to go to my daughter's show. Guess I only have 1 daughter a d it's her senior year of high school so it's the right thing g to do
I don't do this kind of thing much. But if y'all would say a prayer for my kids. No 18 and 15 year old kid should have to deal with having a parent in the hospital not knowing if they will have time with them again or not.
The girlfriend came home with him for the weekend, and it was almost like he didn't want to work ground after complaining about not having much time to help this fall.
Morning y'all.
I don't think I've ever done this, but today is Benton's last first day of school unless he decides to go to grad school. 1 semester left at Purdue then he is off in the real world
What a fucking Christmas for my kids. Their mother is still in the hospital, and their dog went missing last night. I just found him and unfortunately not alive
So am I the only 1 that thinks that a student/athlete is on an athletic scholarship, that they should be made to play in a bowl game instead of opting to sit out? After all you are getting your schooling paid for to be part of the team.
Story time. So in 1971, my dad's uncle that had raised him passed away, and at age 19 my dad took over the farm. He went in to the John Deere dealer wanting to buy a 4320. Dealer said he didn't need one so fad bought a used 806. 51 years later dad finally bought that 4320.
The only productive person around this farm is my son. He comes home from Purdue on the weekends, and gets stuff done, while doing all the other bs that I ask of him, so I don't have to stop what I'm doing. Saturday he got 160 acres chiseled
Okay peeps, need your thoughts. Them wires cut or chewed? Tje second night my parents had their Christmas lights out they had 2 strands not working. Dad looked at them and both strands looked like the one in the video, and both were chewed/cut about 4' from the porch
Big thumbs up to
@JMManufacturing
customer service. We had to replace the upper tube, the new one we got the eyelit for the hydraulic cylinder was welded wrong. So they came from Ohio with a new tube today and swapped it out & put the new 1 on.
I want to know how do people plant at 9 mph or whatever? I plant at 6 mph and I think of a martini, shaken, not stirred. After a couple hours I get out of the tractor like an 90 year
I had a guy tell me this week there's $650/acre and even some $900/acre cash rents being thrown out there. And this is not in an area of specialty crops.
What could be better on your 19th birthday than taking your last final exam for the semester then coming home from college to stsrt washing the combine??
Once I get the electric hooked up, that might work a little better. Or at least won't have to dig out underneath the load out to put the auger under. Question is will the motor handle it or not???
Thanks to good neighbors/friends we finished wheat today. A big Tha KS to Martin's for bringing their backhoe down after a trap was left open as well as letting us use their truck to put the last bit of wheat on. Also thanks to a buddy for letting me use his hopper bottom.
