@DrEilidhMaria The ratio of applicants to jobs is diabolical. Especially when there are PAs being employed into positions that should be for a doctor.

Scary shit right here 👇 I've said it before #ASKFORADOCTOR
A job advert for a PA working basically as a GP being first contact for undifferentiated, undiagnosed patients. They’ve specified **NO previous primary care experience required** 🚩 Let’s be v clear. GPs are CONSULTANTS in Primary care - completing foundation & specialist postgraduate training with rigorous exams throughout. It’s like advertising a job for a cardiology consultant for someone without a medical degree & NO cardiology experience?! Has common sense left the building?!

@TomStocks1982 WTAF ..... yet again this is why I advise my family and friends to #ASKFORADOCTOR we all have every right to be treated by a suitably qualified person! Random but relevant question, how many PAs work in Private Health care in the UK? Or is just #nhs

Thank you @NewTheatreOx for the most spectacular opening night of #josephandtheamazingtechnicolordreamcoat cannot fault it! Outstanding acting and vocals along with phenomenal musicians! We were front row by guitarist and bass player. My favourite musical of all time ❤️

@KatieAndGrumeti I bet they'll take on a few more next month and do the same next december/January. Used to see it a lot when I worked on dwp contracts. We would refuse to let them advertise jobs through the job centre & not promote the vacancies

@michaelkerton @natalieben @medicalmodelbri @PeterStefanovi2 @thatginamiller @doctor_oxford @JanetEastham @AnaesUnited @TheDA_UK And surely these positions would be better utilised to give jobs and training to the actual doctors in training who are being turned away from their speciality as there are no vacancies. PAs are being paid more for rushed training which theoretically allows them to do less 🤷

@michaelkerton @natalieben @medicalmodelbri @PeterStefanovi2 @thatginamiller @doctor_oxford @JanetEastham @AnaesUnited @TheDA_UK What is their vital role?? They cannot prescribe, technically should be supervised in some capacity, and most certainly should be transparent with patients as to their title and NOT refer to themselves as doctor.

@ThePOTSPostman They don't understand it, very few people do. The spoon theory is a good explanation. Often people will say they get tired too don't you know 😉 mine is one of the leftovers from a tbi, the gift that keeps giving!

@AmazonHelp Ava I tried sending DM to @AmazonHelp regarding this. The response is appalling and not helpful at all, certainly doing @amazon no favours

@Megsenmumdr This frightens me, as it should everyone. There seems to be no declaration as to dr, PA, ACP etc how do we know whilst sat in a clinic? 2 tier NHS will be here soon. #askforadoctor
