@USGS reports that 'forever chemicals' (cancer-causing perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl) can be found in 50% of US drinking water supplies. These chemicals are ‘forever’ so they will linger until replaced with naturally-powered alternatives.

Great news! The E.U. has unveiled a €3.6 billion package for tech that will end our over-reliance on fossil fuels, with a focus on chemicals. Initiatives such as this will help the bioengineering sector thrive & develop cell-free alternatives at scale.

Danny Halpin at @PaMediaGroup says "emissions from pesticides are overlooked." We agree. To hit our climate goals we must move away from petrochemical production, instead working to develop enzymatic alternatives without the climate impact.
