Food for thought on the EU from London. Heading Europe coverage at Forefront Advisers
London
Joined December 2010
I still remember the time before Politico bought the European Voice. A lot has changed. Great to see more competition coming
We’re witnessing a gold rush for the top media spot in Brussels. Like the gold rush of the mid-19th century, where pioneers risked all to get to the gold-rich rivers of California, media outlets are in a race to unseat POLITICO. Not everyone will survive

Communication around new boarding pass rules at #heathrow is a nightmare with angry families queuing and staff unable to handle the pressure. I strongly suggest to avoid using @HeathrowAirport

@HeathrowAirport was my preferred airport but I will try to avoid it from now on I suggest @Gatwick_Airport or @LDNLutonAirport
. @HeathrowAirport has found the perfect way of destroying their business. They are the only airport I know where everyone needs their individual boarding cards - penalising families into a long queue (1/2)

This explains why the early results in #TurkeyElections are different between the news agencies. Anadolu doesn’t report the contested counts (which are ballot counts where KK is leading).
Kılıçdaroğlu nun önde olduğu sandıklara itiraz dilekçesi verilince tekrar sayılıncaya kadar veriler girilemiyor. Bu yüzden şu anda yanıltcı bir durum var.

For context: @Vitality_UK sent us to a hospital for a consultation with my daughter that doesn't take children. We have taken her out of school, travelled there, only to be told they cannot see children.
. @Vitality_UK your service is very poor, it’s the second time in a few weeks that my daughter is getting substandard service from you. And there is no feedback. A mess

@WeDontHaveTime You are badly misrepresenting his views. Witch hunting is not the way to fight #climatechange . Try to disprove the actual points he made - he is saying what many regulators think

@OwenWalker0 he said what many central bankers are saying privately - but now Twitter will crucify him and from now on nobody will dare to raise professional concerns
Fighting #climatechange is too important to misrepresent it. This is a brave statement by Stuart Kirk on how banking regulators are overplaying the financial impact of climate risks takes courage to say this & he deserves better than ad hominem attack 1

To be clear, what Kirk said is nothing new. An EU central banker told me the same: looking at purely financial stability risk, climate risk should not even be in the top 5. Inflation, Russia, China, housing markets, trade bottlenecks, etc are all much more pressing 3 #hsbc
